Welcome to Wonderfully Messy! I am so happy you are here! My goal is to offer you hope and encouragement and remind you that you are not alone in your journey.
Let’s face it: life is messy and often challenging. Whether navigating relationships, tackling never-ending to-do lists, or facing moments that leave us feeling defeated, life has its difficult moments.
I’ve encountered some of those more challenging moments myself. After having just walked through the most trying, traumatic season of my life so far, I would then walk straight into a most painful season of grief and loss and PTSD.
You’ll find that many of my later posts reference those seasons. You’ll also find that I speak a lot about the most beautiful miracle I witnessed when Jesus spared my husband’s life.
Friend, let me remind you that even in the midst of our pain, there is still beauty to be found when we surrender our pain and ourselves to Jesus. He has the power to transform them into something truly wonderful!
I hope you discover inspiration, empathy, and hope in these posts. And if you do, please share them to offer hope to others. So, please make yourself comfortable, explore the content here, and welcome to my Wonderfully Messy life.
About Me:
First of all, I hesitate to call myself a writer. I do not have any schooling or training in writing or journalism. But I have felt a desire and a calling to share my own experiences of the love and grace of Jesus Christ. If a post is a grammatical mess, I apologize, but God-willing, you’ll still get the message! 🙂
I have worked in church ministry most of my life until March of 2023, when I made the decision to stay at home. (You can read that story here This Isn’t What I Expected). I am focused on continuing to deepen my walk with God, taking care of my family, and spreading Christ’s word and love to others.
My Husband
I have been married to my best friend, Joey, since 1998. He’s a hard working power-lineman and is my biggest supporter and encourager. He also sings and plays acoustic and electric guitar. He is also a part of our worship team at church. He produces his own music under his label, Joey Under God.
My Children
We have three beautiful children, Kayla, Cameron, and Joshua. They all are so smart and talented and have such huge hearts. Now that they are adults, I love that our relationships have emerged into that of friendships.
They are also a part of our church’s worship team. Kayla sings, Cameron plays keys and Joshua plays drums. Nothing touches my heart more than to see them on stage helping lead worship.
I think my hubby is the best singer/guitar player EVER! Check out his YouTube channel here↓ Or click on the link for more of his music. https://wonderfullymessy.com/christian-music-favorites/
