About this Wonderful Mess

Welcome to Wonderfully Messy! I’m so happy you’re here! My hope is that you will find encouragement in these posts and know that you are not alone as you travel along through your own journey.

Let’s face it, life is messy! And sometimes it’s just plain hard. From relationships, never ending to-do lists, to the moments that knock us to our knees, life is hard.

I’m here to remind you that you do not have to go through it alone. God is so gracious in His love for us that when things get messy and hard, He carries us through

My prayer is that you will find encouragement, compassion, and hope through these posts and God’s Word. Life can be anything but pretty sometimes, but there’s still much beauty to be found in the midst of it. When we surrender our mess to Jesus, only He can turn it into something wonderful! So pull up a seat, take a look around and welcome to my Wonderfully Messy life. ☺️

About Me:

First of all, I am not a writer. I do not have any schooling or training in writing or journalism. But I have felt a desire and a calling to share my own experiences of the love and grace of Jesus Christ. If a post is a grammatical mess, I apologize, but God-willing, you’ll still get the message! 🙂

I have worked in church ministry most of my life until March of 2023, when I made the decision to stay at home. (You can read that story here This Isn’t What I Expected).  I am focused on continuing to deepen my walk with God, taking care of my family, and spreading Christ’s word and love to others.

My Husband

I have been married to my best friend, Joey, since 1998. He’s a hard working power-lineman and is my biggest supporter and encourager. He also sings and plays acoustic and electric guitar with our worship team at church. He produces his own music under his label, Joey Under God.

My Children

We have three beautiful children, Kayla, Cameron, and Joshua. They are a part of our church’s worship team, as well. Kayla sings, Cameron plays keys and Joshua plays drums. Nothing touches my heart more than to see them on stage helping lead worship. They all have huge hearts and now that they are adults, I love that our relationships have emerged into that of friendships.

I look forward to getting to know you through this Wonderfully Messy journey!  Take a look around, leave a comment, and say hello on social! ♥Jeannette
