Music has always been a huge part of my life and still is to this day. My husband and all my children are involved in music. Nothing touches my heart more than to watch and listen to them with the worship team.
Whether I’m having a good day or feeling in a slump, there’s always songs to breathe life into you with the Truth.
I like to have different playlists on my phone to play for different situations and moods. I have a workout playlist, a contemporary music playlist, a gospel one, and songs for when I need encouragement.
It amazes me the influence music has on our emotions. It is such a powerful tool that has such an impact on our mindset. That’s why it’s so important that we’re careful about what we listen to.
I love when I wake up in the morning and have a worship song already stuck in my head. It’s like waking up to scripture before you even get out of bed.
God created a beautiful thing when he created music. I have a plaque on our piano that says, “Music expresses what words cannot.” It’s true. My son plays this one particular song on the piano and although there are no words being sung, it brings me to tears every time. There’s just something to that song that brings out such strong emotion from me.
When my husband was in the hospital, fighting for his life, I had a specific playlist. You can find that here: Prayer Through Song
I have some personal favorites that I have to tell you about…
My hubby is an AWESOME guitar player and singer! He has done some well known songs, as well as write some originals. I love hearing him sing and strumming away on his guitar. Below are some of my favorites. Check out his YouTube channel and show him some support 🙂 Joey Steward – Joey Under God Youtube
Along with my husband, my son, Cameron, who plays piano, has made a YouTube channel as well.
↓This is a collaboration Joey did with Cameron. You can find Cameron on Sound Cloud as Trinity Beats or here on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCNFaLnp-ZPUkalDjO6Lpq8A/videos
Periodically, I’ll update this page with some other favorites. Share in the comments what are some of your favorite songs and artists to listen to.
