I used to think I was silly for wanting to share my story and what I’ve learned over the years. I convinced myself I had no leg to stand on when it came to suffering—after all, others have suffered far worse than me.

Even recently, I’ve doubted God’s call to write more, share more, and finally write that book I told myself long ago I would write.

But one thing I always hope to relay to my readers is this: God cares about all of our grief, sorrow, and suffering. Every single one. No matter what it looks like. He cares and He doesn’t waste any of it.

And I care too.🤍 My hope is to point others, in the midst of their suffering, back to God—and to help them see that even in the mess, there is beauty.

I believe that in our suffering—when we come to the end of ourselves, when we’re willing to deny ourselves—we become moldable. We become more of who God created us to be. And it’s there, in that surrender, that we see Him and experience His presence and fullness like never before.

The enemy’s tactics are brutal. He pulls no punches in his efforts to silence our testimonies. But every story matters. Your story matters. Your testimony matters, and it carries power.

Our seasons of sorrow can be dark—but there is One who has already defeated the darkness. So join me. Let your light shine. Tell your story. Share what God has done.

And if you’re walking through suffering right now, you are seen. This valley is not a detour. It’s a journey. And if you’re willing, it leads straight to His throne.

What if the valley we’re so desperate to escape is

What if the valley we’re so desperate to escape is actually the path that leads us to the throne?

The place where God meets us in our pain, not to minimize it, but where he transforms us inside of it.

Where surrendering our circumstances, our pain, and our will isn’t giving up, but allowing God to do his greatest work.

“Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” — Hebrews 4:16

And in those moments, it’s easy to focus on anything that feels like a way out.

But what if the way through was never about escaping the hard season, but about going deeper with Him? 🤍

It’s one small choice. Which one are you choosing today — distance, or depth?

A heart with hidden conditions isn’t fully surrendered. It’s just negotiating. 💗

“ Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done.”

His will, His timing, His ways are perfect.🤍

My husband was fighting for his life and I needed

My husband was fighting for his life and I needed God to move. I knew He could do the impossible. But I didn’t know if He would.

I wrestled with something I didn’t want to admit — maybe what I was so desperate for was my will and not His.

I didn’t surrender easily or quickly. I was afraid releasing my will for His would cost me everything I was holding onto. It was the most terrifying and vulnerable prayer I ever whispered.

And eventually, God did the impossible. But the transformation didn’t happen when He answered my prayer. It happened in the valley before I knew if He would.

I encountered God so profoundly that the valley I was so desperate to leave became bittersweet to walk out of. He transformed me inside the very season I was so desperate to escape.

If you’re in a valley today and desperate to leave — surrendering it to God doesn’t mean giving up. It means placing it in the safest hands there are — and trusting Him to carry it and transform you.🤍
